Peggy Blumquist is a main character in Fargo (TV series) Season 2. She is a beautician with big-city dreams who is trying to figure out who she really is and what she really wants as she struggles with societal expectations. [1] She is the Tritagonist of Season 2.
Description[]
Peggy is a small town beautician in Luverne, MN, but inside she knows she could be so much more. She’s on a quest, really, to become the best Peggy Blumquist she can be, which means not just being a wife and one day mother. Her husband, Ed, is a traditional man with timeless goals (buy the shop, raise a family), but Peggy can’t help but think there’s more to life than just Luverne, Minnesota.

Early Life[]
Peggy was born and raised in Luverne, Minnesota. After her mother, Nora Knutson, died of breast cancer when Peggy was ten she was sent to live on a farm with her Aunt Agnes. She spent most of her childhood tilling the soil, with not many other children to play with. She met Ed in high school in 1970, however she began dating his friend Tim until he dropped out of school to fight in the Vietnam war. After Tim was killed, she was eventually won over by Ed, who had spent some time comforting her over her loss.
Season 2[]
Peggy Blumquist was a Luverne, Minnesota hairdresser, who became enraptured in a life of crime after she accidentally killed Rye Gerhardt in a hit-and-run and covering up the crime, with her husband, Ed Blumquist. Becoming wanted by the Gerhardt crime syndicate and law enforcement alike, she fled her pursuers with Ed, until Ed was killed by Hanzee Dent and she was arrested.
